Hey all,
My name is Kolt. I am going to jump right in to introducing my 'new to me' S2000. For backstory please refer to post #2.
I am happy to have added a 2004 S2000 to our garage on my birthday. The S2K is rebuilt with just under 54k mi on the body. The engine VIN doesn't match body so I can't say for that. Not all of the panels are original vin but they are all metal and well restored. Previous owner stated that it is "tuned using 92 octane and making around 400hp". I had the car inspected for general issues, boost leak, and overall condition as it is new to me and it came back with a sparkling bill of health besides one known issue; starter.
I like the look of a 'tastefully modded' car but I tend to go a few steps past that... I am a sucker for carbon fiber... even my wedding ring has a CF inlay.
Currently has:
Koni shocks w/ Swift springs
Kraftwerks SC set to 13psi (cogged; installed Dec 2018)
Skunk2 Alpha headers
OEM cats
Tanabe Medallion dual exhaust
ACT clutch w/ stock pressure plate
AEM V2 EM
Ballade CF hardtop (glass w/ defrost, tint, lock)
Powdercoated valve cover & misc bay parts
AP2V1 wheels
Pioneer stereo w/ kicker speakers
35% tint
Dynamat sound deadening
Paint correction & ceramic coating (done 6/2020)
Euro floor mats (like new, removed)
Future plans:
Replace OEM cats with high-flow or test pipe
Replace the AP2V1 wheels
Add CR-style wing (or J's Racing wing with low mounts)
Swap Kraftwerks SC for SOS (or at least replace the cogged belt with the ribbed belt replacement)
Possibly Ford 8.8 3.73 Trac-Loc Diff swap (really just a spare in case I trash the stock diff and I already have it from my Datsun build)
BBK
Battery & BMC covers

I just really enjoy the automotive industry in general. My father was a diesel mechanic for 30+ years before having to go on disability. He taught me a lot growing up and now I enjoy working on my own cars.
In high school I had: (all manual)
'01 VW GTI VR6
'00 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sypder
'93 Honda Civic "show car"
'95 Nissan 240SX S14 (drifter)
'02 Audi A4 1.8T
I also drove a '05 BMW M3 often as my wife's - GF at the time - parents had bought her.
Once I joined the Air Force I got into trucks and motorcycles:
'03 Chevy Silverado 1500HD
'04 Chevy Colorado
'09 Kawasaki ZX6R
'09 Mercedes C300
After departing from the AF:
'08 Toyota Tacoma Crewcab (full overland)
'89 Honda CX650C
'04 Harley Sportster 1200
I sold off the motorcycles as soon as we had children and worked on a frankenstein build - LS1/T56, Ford 8.8 in a '69 Datsun roadster - for about 2 years before scraping it and selling off the parts (which paid for most of the S2K)
We currently have:
2015 Lexus GX460 (Wife's ride 100% stock)
2020 Toyota Tundra Crewmax (light overland/daily)
2004 Honda S2000

Thanks, guys!
I have oficially parked it for the Fall/Winter season with hopes to do Billman TCT, starter, valve adjustment and oil change in the next month or so. I'm sure I'll do more too but I look forward to Spring when I can pull it out again.
Congrats on the purchase! I looked at that car last year, seems like it was a decent pickup!
He mentioned having shown a couple of others. I went into it a bit skeptical but I think it will be a good overall buy. I rushed myself into buying an S2K because I wanted to have all winter to make it how I wanted and get it ready for spring driving. This seemed to be the best option at the time. I do look forward to having all of the nuances taken care of.
