Default newbie from lbc

Hey guys and gals. Just wanted to introduce myself. First off this is a great forum and I've been lurking now about a couple of months now and it's been great help. Im 27 and emt from So Cal and just bought my first s2k and so far it's been awsome. It's a 2003 silverstone with 118400mi miles. Not afraid of it knowing it's a honda. Compared to my other cars this is my funnest one I have to drive and that's saying a a lot coming from an e46 m3. I'm over german cars for life now cause of that one. Btw because of this forum I have been able to fix the dome light that didn't work and was able to wire my new speakers in. Lots of great help here.

Welcome.

Check out the link in my signature.

As an EMT what is your scope of practice include? I am interested in the differences between Canadian and American Para-medicine.

I'm a emt basic so my scope is limited. It's bls with aed, splinting, o2, bandaging and combi tube but we're never use it. Medics use 23 different drugs and use et tubes. Also they read ekgs and pace.

Understood. Is there a level in between EMT-B and EMT-P (Paramedic)?

Is there a wage difference?

There is an intermediate but in California it isn't used. There is a pay difference but again in California if you don't work for the first, pay for the basic is 10 an hour and 15 for the medic. But if you work in other state basic is 15 and medic is like 25.
