Newbie looking to get an S2000
Hi Guy's,
Looking to get an S2000 in the new year, currently own 2 MKIV Supra's, one is a twin turbo 6 speed, the other is an N/A Auto (which is my current daily). However, after recently selling my Mk1 MX5/Miata/Eunos (which is actually featured in this months Banzai magazine, it's the wide arched green one) I have a large amount of withdrawal symptoms for something that I can drive hard in the twisties, although the N/A Supra is a fantastic car to just relax in on the way to work it doesn't really wake you up or give you a buzz(and I'm not prepared to use the TT Supra as a daily).
So after searching through Autotrader and Pistonheads for hours everyday, I narrowed it down to an E46 M3, Porsche Boxster S, BMW Z4 Coupe, Porsche Cayman, 350z or an S2000, but one by one they got ruled out, the Porsches were 'Clinical' and although fantastic at what they did, they just felt like a piece of equipment rather than fully involving you, the M3 was just a bit too big for those tight country roads, the Z4 had rediculously light power steering and the 350Z just felt like a slower version of the Supra. Then the S2000 was up and I can't actually find a single flaw with it for what I want, after having 3 Civics previously(Ok, I admit my first one at 17 was a bit of a ricer, but I have grown up since then, honest!) I know Honda's well and love the rev happy nature of the VTec's.
In regard to which S2000 I want, I will probably looking at a facelift one, ideally in black but I want a fairly immaculate example so I won't let the colour hinder me here, I would really like a GT one, but again, I won't let this be the deciding factor, so I will probably spend the next 2-3 months researching them and find out exactly what I want and look to get one around February time, I would be looking at spending around the £10k mark but more than happy to expand on that for the perfect example.
Cheers
Marc

Welcome. You have lots of different kinds of cars on there. Some are roadsters too but it's really apples and oranges compared to the S. I've never been a fan of the Boxster in general, but the Cayman is pretty sweet. Drive them all and start negotiating. Sounds like you have some fun ahead of you either way.
