Default Newish from Spokane WA

Hello my fellow s2k owners, well as many dont know me here seeing how i just recently joined. I have had several build threads on a couple other sites with my beloved EM1 fetish. I will start off with me. Im Josh and im 21 been into honda's ever since i was 14/15 first off starting with a crx and soon doing my first motor swap at the age of 15. From there my passion for hondas grew, I have had well over 40 hondas now and done my fair share of selling and trading (flipping otherwise known as), built many motors, turbo setups, needless to say im pretty comfortable around working with and on hondas. I had purchased my dream car a 2000 s2000 back in april of 2011 after being at my job for over a year i felt comfortable enough to take such a financial stride towards my dream of owning one. Well after 2 solid weeks of bargaining with a friend of mine that had the car, i traded my Ferio inspired 4 door ek with a measly b16 swap + $5300 for the s2000. Well being so excited with my purchase i drive it proudly to work the next day, only to get halfway through my day and get pulled aside and say due to budget cuts they gotta let me go. So here I am with my first auto loan and $5300 over my shoulders and jobless...needless to say i was so irritated that i figured i would put everything off for the rest of the day and just go for a nice cruise with my newly acquired s2000, well at the same time of having this whole jobless thing over my head, I am also a father to an amazing 3 almost 4 year old daughter. Well at the same time having some issues with my nearly 4 year relationship at time and being separated from her mom, i had figured i had enough saved up to buy a daily and have the s2000. Well now with the whole job situation being a concern i had used the daily money to keep up normal bills as i sought out for a new job, In the mean time working things out with my childs mom and me owning the s2000 for little over a month then, she has a nice daily 4 door teg that served us well. So i would let her use the s2000 while she went to work and when i had my daughter i'd use her 4 door integra. Seems like an even trade off right? Wrong shortly after things got escalated and an argument had broke out about me having to give up my beloved s2000 seeing how its not a proper family vehicle to have even though we had a "proper" family vehicle that we used when we went somewhere as a family. Well being out with some friends one night and a local meet stressin about the newly acquired troubles. One of my good friends had noticed i was contemplating on selling the s2k, he offered me to pay my loan of the $5300 and give me his clean da with b16 swap, being dumb i accepted under the high pressure i was and we went to the bank very next day and boom he had him self my s2000...Well me and my childs mom had separated shortly after for good this time because nothing seemed to make her happy and i didnt want to have that in my life, short time later she was off dating the same so called friend i had sold my s2k off to. I kinda just shrugged it off seeing how i had an m5 clone and figured you know what things werent meant to be.. after some time passed and the car got painted championship white over its prior darker silver paint, and the car seemed to just not be cared for. 6 months had passed now and i was there trying to buy it back once again. I made my offer to the so called friend and he accepted, i went to the bank and did all the feet work to where he just had to go in hand them the keys and pick up his check, mind you this was on a friday and i had been texting/calling him all week letting him know whats going on. Let him know "hey you can drop keys off and pick up your check at bank" no response, well with further research my ex had told me he sold it to his best friend on the previous monday. Being very let down by being so close to having her back in my hands i let it go again, saw it get passed around by a couple friends and then finally getting a rod knock, got rebuilt and now were up to date.. I finally got the car back in my possession little over 500 miles after rebuild and has a rod knock again, yes i was aware of rod knock when i got it but it didnt matter, after what i had gone through to for this car and to get it back finally? Thats something i wasnt gonna let go. So there is my story and how i got my s2000 and here is a up to date picture of it- thanks Josh
