Nissan Fanboi converts! (sort of)
Hi all. Im not new to these forums as I have been researching everything S2000 related on these forums for a year but now I actually have a reason to post.
Yesterday I was contemplating selling my 1998 200sx SE-R and I stopped by the dealer to see what I could get for it. I mentioned that I always wanted an S2000 and the guy that was appraising my car told me they had three, a 2000, 2002 and 2004. I knew I would only get a 2002 and up because of the glass window and the 2002 was black. I saw that it only had 19650 miles so it sparked my interest. It also was in absolute mint condition inside and out. I had never driven an S2000 and when he offered me the chance to drive it I took it! Needless to say I was so blown away that later that day she was sitting in my driveway!
Now keep in mind that I am a diehard Nissan enthusiast and have owned many including the 1993 Sentra (which I still have), a 2002 and 2003 Sentra SE-R Spec V, a 1996 Altima and 1998 200sx SE-R. I was really wanting a 350Z but at the same time I wanted a convertible and I have always loved the looks of the S2000 since I saw the first concept cars back when I was in high school. Now being a Nissan enthusiast, I am also a automobile enthusiast in general and I also can appreciate a good car no matter who manufactures it which is why I dont mind owning a Honda even though the sterotype goes that Nissan and Honda cannot co exist peacefully.
I must say that I was absolutely shocked the first time I got into the VTEC. Wow... I love it. I have a smile everytime I drive it. I will be browsing these forums daily trying to learn as much as I can. The only thing Im finding that sux is the lack of wheel choices because of the offset requirements. Other than that Im excited about the S2000.
And here she is.....

Hey 623baller, I actually got it for $20,000. I felt it was a decent deal beacuse it was nearly $2k less than blue book and the car looks as if had barely been driven. The interior was in mint condition and other than one scratch the exterior is near perfect. And not to mention have such low miles.
Bky, yea I dont know why reviews and people have complained about the lack of torque in day to day driving. I find it fast as hell and I drive pretty conservatively and find myself shifting at 3500k.
