Default No0b here!

Hey all, just signed up today.

I am usually on bimmerforums & tehdriven. I drop by clublexus, 6speedonline, & a few others once in a while.

Currently own a 03 540/6, 03 530ia, & a 00 LS400

s2k is the top 3 choice for my next car collection. So far the s2k, M Roadster/Coupe, e36/e46 m3 is up in the running. Sti or a miata is a smaller possibility too. This will be my more fun car.

I will hang out here for a while to learn more about the s2k.

If anyone of you have 1st hand experience with s2k and ///M, it would be appreciated. I was thinking a ///M at 1st but the cost & moddability has me thinking twice. I have spent too much for a very small gain on my BMWs. I drove my friend's s2k years ago & it lefft a good impression on me as a fun go kart.

If you are from NYC, I am curious if its the type of car that is nerve wrecking to leave out on the streets.

Welcome to the site. You will find anything you want to know about the S2000 here. Just remember search is your friend, if you can't find what you are looking for just ask.

As far as moddability - I'm sure its cheaper to mod the S than it is to mod any bimmer. But the S doesn't really benefit from small mods such as intakes. A lot of people used forced induction to make more HP.

Hope that helps.

sir t,

Good luck in your hunt. The Metro NYC forum might be a good place to get folks' impressions of owning one in Manhattan. I know personally I wouldn't be comfortable doing that, but lots of folks do.
