"The Offer i couldnt Refuse!"
Raj,
Which blizzaks do you have on there? The LM-22s aren't that great in snow, but the WS-50s grab like ice picks.
Anyway, congrats and welcome! Take it real easy as you learn your car. OH has a great local community. Take advantage of it.
Oh, and with an MY00, be sure to watch the oil level at every fill up. And, if you haven't done it already, change ALL the fluids -- they've likely been in there a while.

well, ill have to go n check the Blizzaks i have on there, but theyre the Studless with ASA rim combo from "TireRack"
they do have the lil gaterbacks on the thread and they seem to perform really well even on semi icy parkinglots.
Bullit told me that the BLizzaks are becoming a lil hard to get for the S
hopefully ill be able to pick up sum WS-50s after these wear out, but i guess ill only really be replacing the rear tires huh?
thanx everyone for the tips on driving. heh, no Vtec, and i do not shift during corners, downshift before and shift only after exiting the corner. its been great driving a FR! even in Winter!
Tho, i did have an instance when coming out of a parkinglot. when about to exit a parking lot with a nice incline, after letting of the break with clutch still in and in first i can feel the rear tires not want to move, then when i give a lil gass n let the clutch out to get it to roll down, itll kinda jump into it. that caught me by surprise one night after work.
i rolled down and into the street and over a meridian of light snow where noone had drove and suddenly my back tires spun and the back of the car kicked out soooooo fasstt! but no problems, i just never thot anything less than a GermanTouring car could actually spin that fast. o.o;
oh and yes, all the Fluids have been maintained and changed, maintainence upwards to 80k done and the car only has 16-17k on it.
and after 2 fillups, engine level is the same. bullit said he did the break in period right so it dosnt burn any oil.
ive heard if u do the engine break-in period right and no super slick oil until after 15k then u should be in better shape as far as burning oil goes. but thas wat heard as far as the cause of burning oil on MY00 (im so not a mechanic)
say wat is the word on the OHIO community?
i have to check them out.
along with the Europe boards for tips on snow driving n cold starts
thanks everyone
sorry for the "Bump" ive been driving and driving n the week that ive had the car, and ive had a lack of internet
