Thumbs up Out of state buyer drive back not deliver?

I'm in Reno, NV. I will go to bay area to buy an 06 S2K this weekend. Most of the dealers quote me a delivery fee from $200 to $500. One dealer told me that I can drive the car back by myself but I have to register the car with NV DMV in 24 Hr. Is this true? Why other dealers don't know anything about this. They all say it have to be deliver.

Thank you for any info.

You have to check your own state's regulations.

Some will issue you a temporary permit. I don't know about NV. You better look into it.

As long as you have car insurace right now...most insurance companies will cover you if you buy a new car for 30 days from the date of purchase.

^ That does not cover the issue of having the car registered (temp. tag, whatever...) during transportation.
