Ugh so all my parts are here... I'm really not looking forward to to this... the smart thing would be to blend this all... which means I have to gut the interior and pull the softtop.. at least to the point i can remove the rear moulding...

ugh...

Given the pace you work at, we should see the end result by Thursday night?

Goddamn that's fresh. No surface rust anywhere.....You see on a lot of the cars when the bumper and stuff comes off there's usually rust all over the bumper beam

How many hours do you think you have into this repair project? Keep us posted on the progress. It is cool to see a pictorial as the project continues.
I am getting antsy to do some things to my car but then I realize that I have at least 4 months to go before it ventures out of the garage. I'm stuck in Iowa for at least 5 more years.

Disassembly probably

- Remove Front Lip
- Remove Front Bumper
- Remove headlight & support
- Remove fender
- Remove Rear Bumper
- Remove Trunk Liner
- Remove passenger tail light
- Remove Passenger Trunk Garnish
- Remove passenger kick panel
- Remove inner door card
- Remove Power Mirror
- Remove Inner Door handle
- Remove speaker
- Remove door moulding and weather stripping
- Remove Window
- Remove Door Sashes
- Remove Window Regulator
- Remove window stops and guides
- Remove exterior door handle
- Remove Latch assembly
- Remove Door Wedge
- Remove Soft Top Tray plastics
- Remove Rear Soft Top Frame & Rain Channel
- Remove Door sills
- Remove Rear hook/vent panels
- Remove B pillar garbish
- Remove center console
- Remove Rear Glovebox trim
- Remove Glovebox
- Remove Roll Hoops
- Remove Rear Gussets
- Remove Soft Top
- Remove Rear Deck Moulding

probably 19 hours as I've bagged and labeled everything in the process...

Paint & Buffung & blending, probably ~ 20 hours. Then reassembly and proper torque, as well as adjusting will probably be another 19-25 hours.

So 60 hour job... lol lots of beer.

That is a lot of hours. I guess it gives you a chance to further deep clean the car since you can clean and/or refresh each part/nut/bolt individually during the reassembly. That would be satisfying for me as I really appreciate clean everything.

That is essentially what I am doing lol. But to be honest... its one of the cleanest old cars I've ever taken apart.
