Default Possibly a New owner!

Hi s2k owners! My name is Jon, I'm 18 and live in California!
Right now, I own a '08 Honda Accord v6 AT coupe.[Real owner is parents but I put 99% of the miles on it] (Wish it was MT though )
I really want to modify the car but there really isnt much out for it, nor is there much out for any of the Accord v6's in general, gotta look at the Acura Model's Engines in order to even consider it.. anyways!!!

The way i wanted to modify the car was more for Track/Mountain Use, I am a guy that really likes grip and handling and the s2k seems like a good choice because of its light weight and weight distribution. I am working part time and at college so this isn't something im going to be buying any time soon (Obviously can't afford it right now). I am just trying to get an idea of what I should be looking at while i save up for a used car. I am planning on making a car that is fun to drive and handles great around corners. I do a lot of mountain runs with the accord, severe under steer but getting a bigger rear sway bar to fix that hah; Some people even recommend me to get the s2k just for the sole fact of handling (Coming from people with civics and Lancer/Evo's who have seen s2k's). So I have done a quick skim through youtube/forums, just to see the potentials with the s2k and I'm impressed (Not that i shouldn't be ) .

My plan if i buy the new car, in general, is drive it for a good couple thousand miles, soft and hard, different weather conditions, etc., to get an idea of how the car responds to what I do to it and then later rebuild the engine to get it ready for FI and track use.

I really like cars and the engineering used for the engines and such, working on cars is pretty much one of the only hobbies of mine, I help a friend work on a '00 Civic EX, mostly repairs rofl.

So My question comes to this. Do you guys think the s2k is right for me? Or should I be looking at a different vehicle (If so, which would you suggest)? and if the s2k, What type of mods should i first be looking at? (I.E: Coilovers/Rims)

Since you mentioned rims, the S2K doesn't have the ability to rock low offset rims stock : ( stock offset is +55 or something. so yea

I think you sound young and immature personally. I know I was at 18.

I'd suggest not complaining too much about a brand new free car at 18 - I drove a 10 year old car up until I was 20 or so when I bought my own car and modded it.

Save up, read up, and take your time. No reason to rush into a car.

Hehe i tried to not sound immature about it. And i know what you mean, I'm not rushing into a car, I'm just looking around thats all [And I wont buy a car b/c I think its good, gotta test drive it]
And believe me, im not mad that I have the car that i have right now, I am very thankful.
And I think ill be in the same boat as you, muffin, i'll probably buy this or some other car when im 20. and Yes, I am saving up and will definitely be reading up. =)
