Default potential buy?

2003 black on black AP1
28k on odometer
super clean in and out
clean title
one owner
honda certified - private party transaction
asking 20k

This seems like a good deal, KBB for excellent condition (which this car is) is around 23k. If I can get him down to 18-19, should I take it?

I can't emphasize how clean this car is, it looks and smells almost brand new. Of course I would take it to the mechanic before buying, but I definitely want to pick up an s2k before the spring season hits. What do you guys think?

Seems like a pretty good deal. Try to get it down to maybe 19, but its already a few thousand under KBB so don't push it too much. I bought my 2003 with about 32k miles from a Honda dealer for $19.5k in mid December.

Winter is the best time of year to buy IMO - go for it.

One of the most important things, IMO, is knowing the history of the car. Sounds like you are buying from the original owner, can't get any better than that. In this instance, I'd say that $20k is a good deal, $19k is a really good deal, $18k is a steal. Good luck.

Depends on where you live. Where I live, 20k would be a great deal. Where you live, maybe not as good of a deal.

Its a good deal, I would try and talk him down a little from 20K.
