Proud new canadian owner!
Hey everyone! I've always wanted an s2000 since they first came out (when i was 12) and i finally had the chance to grab one. Ended up with a 2004 Suzuka Blue S2000. I'm coming from a decently modded 06 civic coupe
I've only had the car for 7 hours so far, and its already just been an absolute blast!
Anyways, thought i would include some questions i had in this thread instead of making a bunch in some other forums, maybe the guru's here can help me out...
I got a pre-sale inspection done by some honda-toyota specialists here, they said 2 things need to be addressed:
1. Driver side washer nozzle is not working
2. Rear Diff could use a fluid change.
3. DRL's (required to pass out of province inspection) come on, but are using the low-beam HID's instead of the high beams at half output. This is causing my HID's to be on all the time. Is this going to be a problem? I would really rather not have them running all the time!
To try and fix the nozzle, im going to see if it might just be clogged and try to clear it up with a needle. Any other tips/pointers in where to look or what to look for?
For the fluid change, i do have a friend who's a lube tech at a local honda dealer who will let me use his lift on the weekends. What else should i be looking to maintain at this point in time? (car has 27,500km). I wasn't able to track down any previous maintenance history on the vehicle. Should i do an engine oil change as well? just to give me an exact time of when that was done? Any other things that i should maintain? Maybe go through the 24000km checklist in the owners manual?
Some questions i had about some simple mods on the car when i bought it could hopefully be answered as well....
1. theres a CF cover over the radiator under the hood, is that the cooling induction thingy?
2. Theres also an APC (ew...) front strut bar on there....is that thing worth anything?
3. The stock exhaust was changed out for a single borla catback....its a little loud for my taste and i would like to go back to stock, is the borla worth anything? its hard to find that sucker on the net!
anyways, if anyone decides to read my long post then feel free to help out! Im proud to be an S2k owner finally!

Mine was like that too. But then I looked under the hood, and it was merely a rubber tube between the driver's and passenger's side. So unless you have some solid clogging the rubber tube, it probably is just some liquid that got dried up and needs a bit of a push.
anyway, welcome!
