Hello everyone,

i've been in the forum for a while but haven't really posted anything until now. i have a big issue with my 01 s2000 and that is the differential... the differential that came with the car when i bought it (2 years ago) totally got destroyed... i drove the car with the noise not knowing what it was until it finally broke so i got an used one for $600 from a 03 s2000 and replaced it two months ago. well it just broke once again and i haven't driven the car crazy enough for it to break.

Now are there any better solution for a stronger differential? i was thinking to upgrade to an Ap2 diff. but if there are any other suggestions i would gladly appreciate it.

Did u change diff fluid? It shouldn't be that weak, my friend drives his AP1 crazy but his car is running as good as new. He changes fluid once a year.

 

Don't bother with a different diff, just send a pm to puddydad, he does diff rebuilds for a lot of people on the forums.

 

You might want to verify whether what you consider "not crazy" is suitable for the diff on the S.

 

meaning i don't beat on the car. i daily drive this car.

 

i did on the one i bought two months ago but i think it ca,e with problems and thats why it broke so quickly

 

what state is this guy staying? if you know.
