Default RWD classes?

Hey all, I'm planning on getting an S2000 this winter. I'm coming from a 2000 Ecipse Gt. So I was wondering if there was any video classes or tutorials that you can learn about how to properly drive a rwd car. It may seem stupid to some people but I don't want to wreck the car in the rain or snow.

Find an empty parking lot and play around. Also make sure if you're driving in the snow, to get a serious set of snow tires.

Good to hear you want to learn the right way. I'm not sure about classes but seat time in a parking lot will def help. I've never had an incident with my S in the snow and I've never personally used snow tires, but they are definitely worthwhile according to other members. My golden rule #1 for rwd is learn to brake a little before the turn, not after you've started steering. You should have your foot on the gas as you enter the turn. This way you can steer with the throttle. More gas - prone to understeer. Letting off the gas makes the car more prone to oversteer or sharper turning.

Right. The car is very balanced so entering too fast and then braking hard while turning can induce a push or understeer situation.

Do like you said and find its limits in an empty parking lot. On the road and in the rain, don't even consider trying to find its limits. You'll go roundy round.
