S2000 info please
Hello everybody.
I am looking at getting an S2000 'hopefully' in the next few months and have got a couple of questions for you please. At the moment I own an 04 Civic Type-R which is probably worth, at the minute, about 13k. What year S do you guys reckon I should be looking at, 01/51/02??? What year did the S have the facelift? Whats the best time to buy one i.e Winter/Summer? I would preferably like to do a straight swap with somebody to save the selling malarky if anybody is interested? Is there anything I should be looking out for when buying i.e corroded alloys? I don't want to be spending anymore than my car is worth. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I'm guessing a little hear as I have not shopped S2000s in a while.
With the limit of 13k to spend you can look at Model Year '00. Even that will be a stretch depending on condition of the car you look at. Newer cars are probably out of your reach unless you save some money or are willing to make payments.
Go here http://www.kbb.com/ and you will see what I am talking about.
Our cars are usually kept in excellent condition and most likely have less than average miles on the clock.
Best bet is to look at private sellers.
If buying from a dealer, look in the fall close to winter as they know a convertable is a hard sell when old man winter hits. If shopping at a Honda dealer remember that the car will be Honda Certified. The extended warranty may be appealing but you are actually paying for that warranty, adding about 1500 to the cost of the car.
MY04 and newer got the face lift.
Good luck finding anyone wanting to trade.

i think hes from england and that means 13k is $13000 POUNDS. which is like US$25k
if u are from england then only the english members would be able to give any accurate advice as car prices in different countries vary greatly

They could give you a better idea as far as pricing goes. I'm guessing that is not 13K US dollars you are talking about. Also the facelift was in 04 and newer.
