Good luck on your future purchase but 125 miles on a 'new' S means it was definitely beat for many of those miles. They probably let the car on plenty of test drives.

Yes, I am sure you can grab it for under invoice or at invoice. I wouldn't pay a dime over it. It depends on your market though.

I wouldn't go over $28k, I'd try for less to start.

totally depends on where you're located. plus, a new black 05 ain't the easiest to find anymore.

if he sells for $27.8k + TTL or less, take it and run.

I paid $28.5K for mine about a month ago... also a black 05. Stickered at $33K and consumer reports recommended start at $30. Bad timing for me, since I couldn't get up there during the week... had to hold the car for $100 on a CC. Pretty much tipped my hand... Had I known it would be this much fun to drive... they could have reamed me even more.

Good luck!

if you want an 05, buy used private party.

otherwise, just get an 06, or wait till summer and grab an 07

It's bad timing for you, since it's getting warmer now and a good MPG roadster like the S2000 will get plenty of attention at the dealerships. But since the car does have 125 miles on it, definately start at below invoice. Just go about it in a tactful way and see how it turns out. Good luck and a pre-welcome back into the fold.

Yeah, I agree. If you can nab it for 28K, you're doing fine.

Good friend bought a new '05 the first Saturday in March '06, for $27,000 + tax. It had 150 test drive miles on the odometer, including a few by me.

I'm picking mine up on Saturday. 28.2 to 28.4K (before all fees and taxes) with 72clicks on the odometer -- finalizing the last 200 bucks, small glitch.

What color are you looking for? And where do you live? I compiled a small spreadsheet with around 15 to 20 S2000s in the Northeast, with their VINs, prices, locations, contact/dealership name, and website links (most of them are new, and a few used). PM me with your email address if you want that, and I can send the file to you tomorrow morning.

Good luck!

P.S. You should never have sold your 02 S in the first place!!! hehe j/k
