s2000 test drive
Yeah, compared to my Accord I thought it was stiff. Like I said, now I'm not so sure :-)
The Fun Factor of driving this car increases each day as I get to know her better and my skill improves. I will categorically state that I have never driven a car that is this much pure joy; that so involves the driver in the drive, and demands so much attention. I love it! Hell, the Accord could drive itself the 63 miles to where I work, it really didn't need me... By the same token, on a long trip with a +1 and 2 young kids, the Accord was darned near perfect, and I do miss it for that reason.
I'm back to the same bottom line as others, if you find something you can afford that is more fun to drive, buy it! And let us know what it is.

Man you guys think the S2k is a Stiff Ride?? When i got mine i thought it was soo like Smooth... But I did drive a Evo and that thing is SOO bumpy.
its all relative to what your previous car was anyways.
dare i say that the s2000 almost felt "boaty" compared to my lowered crx;
nonetheless, coming from a lesser equipped car made me feel like i was in pure luxury-
power windows yesss!!!
Coming from my first gen Miata (which I had for 11 years), the S was in a totally different league. I loved the way it looked and handled. Took a while to get used to the high door sills and generally "F1-like" interior.
The Miata gave me high expectations for reliability in a roadster (which is different than folks coming from the MG world), but the S has not disappointed.

I don't think you'll find another car in the same price range with the ability to go topless and as fun to drive. The ride is firm, but not any worse than my e30 BMW with H&Rs and Bilsteins. You won't regret it!
I've had an MR2 and a Miata as well as a Vette, and a Talon TSI AWD and until the S came along the Miata was always my favorite. (the vette was always haveing some kind of problem) The power top is the best thing about it. I know it's fast and looks great but even when I'm just running out for ten minutes I drop the top.
I agree that the car is a bit pricey but I love driving it. Thats the bottom line.
The idea of paying that much for this car is subjective. It may be worth it to one person but not another. It's definitely worth it for me.
