You guys really think that it's bad? I thought it wasn't bad at all.

I'm 19, clean driving record, live in Michigan. Before the S2000 I was driving a '91 CRX Si, for which I was paying $90/month just for liability. Currently I'm paying $150/month for an '01 S2000 with full coverage. In 6 months I'll be eligible for another safety discount, which will bring insurance down to about $135/month. Compared to my old CRX, this isn't bad at all.

hmm interesting my insurance was rediculously cheap on my s2k. got 670$ off for being a good driver for the past 6 years ( we will see how long that lasts with this thing) and 8% off for being a recent college grad. plus im listed as a one day a week driver (because i take the bus to and from work) so less then 10k miles i will drive a year. also mass auto insurance is regulated. all in all i pay 90$ a month. not too shabby for bein 23

forgot to mention im unmarried, dont own a home and have full coverage with average limits.

my 99 odyssey minivan costs about $20 less per month than my s2000. and that's with my s2k on the 7500mi/yr rate. i'm (well) over 25, own my own home, have 3 cars and a multi car discount, bla bla bla.

Just goes to show. It's all relative. You're paying $1800/year for your insurance and it doesn't bother you. That's very, very high.

I'm paying about half that, and it's still more than any other car I've owned.

it totally depends on your area. for me the difference between accord and s2000 is less than $10/m. When I go up north for college my insurance is going to be close to half of what I pay now.
