Default Salvage Title? Might be interested.

A local friend of mines knows a person with an S2000 silver with black interior. Has literally 25K miles on the original motor and has work rims. It's an 05 and he's asking $12K, is it worth it? I'm assuming 9K but then again I'm not to familiar with pricing and that's why I need opinions, if I should even buy a salvage car. The damage was done to the left rear panel but was fixed professionally. Looks brand new.

Thanks

most people will say no but usually they have no experience with salvage title vehicles.

nearly all of my vehicles have been salvage. Unless the car is SUPER bad, I dont see any issue with salvage [you drive the car, not the title]. Plus many cars get wrecked and repaired that should be salvage. As long as its fixed properly, no big deal IMO.

There's deff a couple things to consider. When going to resell, it will be a little more challanging and people will lowball the shit out of you & secondly if you have an insurance claim you may run into some hurdles getting what you feel the car is worth. That being said, I'd go for it. I sold a stock salvage title 05 4-5 months ago for 13k & it sold within 2 days [granted it was GPW, which is a hot seller]

It all depends on why it has the salvaged title and if there was any frame damage. That's the two issues I would consider. Your resale value may be much lower, but buying a salvaged vehicle isn't always a bad decision sometimes.
