SiR for S2000
I miss my Civic alot, but not for performance reasons.
for some reason it seemed easier to grow attached to my 93 Civic than the S2000, but i LOVE the performance side of it. If you havnt put to much blood sweat and tears into the civic, go for it.
I did ALOT of work to my civic and it was my baby but it would never stand up to the S2000 in performance/handling

I own both a hatch and an s. both are very different. But a civic will never have class like the s2000. Cruisin with the top down with the stars above you head or with a bright blue sky is just unbeatable.
get one an don't look back

Well my Civic is parted out, i am selling the pieces, and buying 2 S2000s by the end of the month. (one for me one for a friend)
2004 AP2, Red <30 000kms (<19K miles) are my criteria.
i might head down to NY State for some.
do you guys drive them in winter?

You've put alot of time and sweat into your EP. Weigt in the pro's and cons.
EP3 pro's: can fit more then 2 people, FWD in the winter (even though the s2000 isn't bad with good winter tires)... That's about it
S2000 Pro's: Convertible with Hard top option, RWD, 50/50 wieght dist., stock trim is a serious track machine.
If you are looking for quarter mile times, then it wouldn't be the first option (even though it can be if you have deep pockets). If you want to bump up the fun factor, then you will get that.
Standard Greddy Turbo bolt will net you 290whp (apprx 4000.00) nothing else is needed. You can tune that of course to about 320ish before needed addition mods.
Minus all the fluids you've listed, you're practically getting with a s2000 STOCK.
Handling - excellent for a oem brand (Showa made)
Braking - don't even touch unless you are serious about tracking (they are great even with oem pad)
Gearing - You have a good selection of final gears, OEM 4.10, 4.3, 4.44, 4.56 (4.57R), 4.77 and even seen 5.1.
HP - you don't need to spend 5G to make 10HP. It is very well calibrated to work with the components. Intake and Header are amazing oem products and you can do very little to improve.
You had to do those modification to you EP to get it to a track/street level. Where the s2000 was made for the purpose of tracking therefore came from the factory with all the required hardware to do it, and it successfully.
Welcome aboard, you won't look back.

nice post thanks!
yes i did weigh the pros/cons, and i think i am moving in the right direction. The civic is a civic.
I dont want to have to put a turbo or a supercharger... not that i regret it with my EP, but i just want something OEM and powerful i won't have to touch. I/RH/E is no problem, maybe enev Kpro and a tune. but turbo and chargers.... i dunno. (although the charger on the EP made it such a track demon).
fun factor is def. there witht he S2. track potential as well.
i am not looking back, in fact, i am looking at selling all my stuff ASAP, lol. i dont care what my EP brings back, i just want it sold and i want my s2
