Everyone who has driven an STi or WRX knows how numb the steering is. Now, you wouldn't be having this dilemma if you drove an Evo around the track that's for sure. But in any case you have an S now so welcome!

Welcome, I remember you back from the celica days. Wow that was a long time ago. We have the same car again

Also, I was at Buttonwillow that Saturday. You should join the S2000 Challenge, you'll learn a lot about tracking your s2k!

I'm about to jump on this too. I'm in the process of working on selling my STI. Anyone want a 2009 GR STI in WRB?

I see you posts at IWSTi. Since your planning on tracking the s2k, I think it would be a great idea! Plus, you can get to run on s2k challenge.
I was just checking out your journal, and puffxy's journal too. It seems everyone moving from an STI to an S2K for track use loves it.

Yeah, I just need to figure out what the best way to sell my car is. I can easily get rid of the CBE, AOS, sways/endlinks, and Stage 1. The hard part is getting rid of all the whileline bushings - 6 total, only one I didn't do is the roll center kit.

Springs will probably go unnoticed and can probably stay on there - easy enough to remove though if absolutely necessary. It's the the bushings that are a problem.

As much as I love the STI, I don't think I can deal with the maintenance when something goes wrong. Notice how I said "when," because it seems that everyone who seriously tracks their STI ends up having problems down the road. Plus, consumables on the car are more expensive. The other thing is that I feel like I'm using the AWD and Stage1 power as a crutch to mask the flaws in my driving. I'd really like to learn how to be a better driver on the track. It also seems like I can get away with just pads, SS-lines, and fluids when I first start out on the track.

In the STI, the mods are never ending and never enough - half the mods i've done are for reliability. And now, if i want to keep tracking, the next set of mods will be a koyo radiator and an oil cooler...

Anyway, I can't wait to sell my STI (hopefully not that big of a loss) an get into an S2K.

Actually, I had the s2k before the STi. I bought the STi w/ thoughts of having one car (to replace the s2k) for track/auto-x/daily. So long story short, bought the STi about 1.5yrs ago. Tracked it, auto-x'd it, and I didnt like it at all. So I sold the STi & just have the s2k for track/auto-x.

Im glad I didnt sell the s2k when I got the STi. Dodged a bullet on that one.

That's exactly what I was thinking, using the STI as my one trick pony. I ended up keeping my 1999 Z71 Sierra. So, I don't really need the STI if i'm keeping my truck. If I need utility or need to transport more than 1 passenger, I have the truck.

Plus, my truck gets me to the mountains and back in the snow, don't need the STI for that. And if I get super super serious with the track, I can trailer the S2K with my truck,
You're in a no lose situation. What are waiting for? Get s2k already!! Lol

Well, except for the part where I bought an STI, kept it for one year, and am now going to sell it at a 25-35% loss from the original price... Heh, I can just look at it as if I leased the car
