Hello Folks,

My friend says Honda took the "raw" out of the s2000 in the ap2. I haven't been able to test drive either of them yet.

What do you guys recommend? Ap1 or Ap2?

Welcome Mr Jase. You've opened the infamous S2ki can of worms with that question.

There's a lot of debate on this forum about the answer, so Chow-bot is correct. Test Drive both and tell us what you think. You may only find subtle differences if any at all.

However, I think the 2003 AP1 is perfection.

My understanding is...

for track use.. the AP1 is better

for street/daily use... the AP2 is better

the word "better" is very subjective...

AP2 is more drivable on the streets because of the higher torque output at lower RPMS....

 

It's your choice.

 

Ah, ok. Didn't know it's such a hot-button topic. I will definitely test drive both and then reply back with my impressions.

 

I chose the AP2 for 1 main reason: LAGUNA BLUE

I also like it because of the greater torque, glass rear window, and all the other stuff. I did test drive an AP1 a year before I bouoght my AP2 and I liked it - just wasnt ready to buy.

 

Take them both on a drive and then decide. I've owned both, I prefer ap2.
