Default Subie Owner Sayin' Hey!

Hey all! I currently drive an STi (which I love to death) - but have recently started taking interest in the S2K. It's a completely different feel from my Subaru and it's pretty awesome! I'm still unsure of what I'm actually going to do - but I'm dropping in to do some research, check out some cars, and see how this honda crowd is! I've seen some of the cars on here already and am really impressed at how amazing they look!

Any other past Subie owners?!

Mine a 2004 STi. The best year of course. Had her for a little over two years now.

Psychoazn - is there anything you regret about making the trade?

My brother used to own an STi. I thought it was a great car especially in wet weather. You'll definitely miss the awd in bad weather. You'll probably think the S is under powered compared to the STi. When the weather is nice however, and the top is down & you're flying around the corners shifting through the silky smooth gearbox @ 8000+ rpms, you'll see why the S is the right choice!

Right now, I think that if I get the S2K - I'll try to put my modding days behind me. It's like crack. I think the new car would be just for fun/weekend since I have a Civic daily driver. Boost is nice though.

I have been in my friends S2K recently, and (engine wise) it's stock. With it being light, and feeling so tight/compact - it really felt like it had a nice pick up and go. Didn't bother me at all.

I have an 04 STi & an s2k. The STi just hates being driven at 10/10ths. Its like pulling teeth. I cant get over the AWD understeer. However, I prefer driving the STi on the street due to the tq (335tq at 3500rpm snaps my neck). Having said that, Im selling my STi for an s2k CR in a year or so .

BTW.. The 04 STi is the worst year IMO due to the weak 5x100 hubs. Pad knockback is atrocious.

Edit: I do feel fortunate to go through the failed Subaru 5x100 design.. it made it necessary for me to learn left foot braking. Thank you Subaru for the failed design!!!

Who says its a trade?

Although I don't have the STI anymore, its a better car all around, but the S2k is MUCH more involving and fun to drive.

Ketchup - you're on IWSTI aren't you? Or were on there a while back.

I guess the hubs can be a weak point. When I was looking for a subaru though - it had to be an '04.

I have decided though - if I do get an S2K - it has to be white w/ red interior.
