Hey just wanted to share my weekend pick up. She is a 2002 that just clocked in at 33k miles. I am very excited to finally grab one, and the 550 mile drive home yesterday had me smiling the whole time.
Looks wonderful! So nice the roof not retracting all the way was noticeable. You'll want to replace the interior roof straps. Lots of information in the library. 30 minute job.
The front and rear spoilers OEM? Look good to me.
You know the drill: Complete fluid replacement paying attention to the correct oil filter.

Yep the straps are on the to do list but it is the original soft top with zero tears and mint condition otherwise. Everything is OEM the original owner opted for the spoilers when he bought the car. Doing fluid changes this week, the previous owner had the oil changed before my drive home but they didn't use an OEM oil filter.
OEM oil filter is vital. Different construction and sealing than the "AutoDepot" filters. These have been known to unscrew themselves... Don't wait for the next oil change. I'm thinking you can change the filter after the car has sat overnight and not make too big a mess. Pay attention to the torque requirements for the OE filter, they're printed on it.
I personally think the spoilers improve the looks of the car. Especially the early models. The spoilers looked too good to be Ebay versions. These are highly sought for options now that they're out of production. Coolant and hydraulically are time based. I bought my 2006 (used) in 2014 from a large Honda dealer and it was good to go. Coolant just came up on its next change last year, same for the hydraulics.
You're gonna like this car if you don't wreck it in a fast corner. Ease into the performance driving!

Already ordered the OEM filter the previous owner even apologized about it since he was in a time crunch. That filter was only used to get home and no more miles are going on it, I am debating on old brand I want to use. Once all little maintenance stuff is taken care of I am send it off for a paint correction, ceramic and ppf to clean her up and prevent any other paint chips. I literally searched for months before buying this one, the only thing this doesn't have that I wanted was the OEM hardtop. I'm going to just enjoy this on weekend and plan to preserve this for the years to come. Thank you for all your help.

Confine your oil filter "debate" to these:

Just 'cuz its blue and says Honda it may not be the right one. Check the part number. Good dealer will have it (and the new washer) in stock or in a day or two. Mine matches internet prices. Choice of less profit or no profit.

Yes that is the oil filter I ordered, I just noticed I fat fingered my post ha. I'm debating on what brand of oil to use. I'm going to also replace the rotors and pads since I'm 99% sure they are the originals.
