Bitten by the bug.

By far the best way to transport these hardtops is on the car. Next best is a full sized pickup.

Good luck with all of the fluid changes. I just changed my brake fluid yesterday using a gravity bleed and it went well. I just steam cleaned the inner portion of the wheel while the line bled. It does take a while but I am pretty sure I got most of it flushed through. I ended up using 3/4 of a 1 liter can so there may be a little bit of old stuff in there. It sure was easier when you could get blue brake fluid so you could alternate between blue/amber. I used the rest to refresh the clutch fluid.

This is my first Honda and I have been pretty happy with the ease of maintenance. I hope you find the same with yours.

that's very true if it is close enough I will drive back with it on the car! The hardtop might be my winter project.

I've owned eg, ek and dc2 integras after that I went away from Honda thinking I was too old for that scene. The s2000 love never left so I said screw it and came back to honda at 35 haha I have zero regrets and I'm extremely happy to be back.

I'm waiting on a couple parts right now but next weekends quarantine list is going to be.

Oil Change Amsoil 10-30 synthethic and OEM filter
brake bleed with motul RBF600
clutch fluid
DBA T3 rotors on all 4 corners
Hawk hp + brake pads
OEM air filter
OEM cabin filter
OEM serpentine belt

Still need to order a billman tct and I think I'm going to order the modifry top straps.

It is awesome to see you got the bug as well, these cars are so fun. It really makes me sad I waited so long to come back.

Sounds like a good bit of maintenance work but it will be fun. You've made some good choices with your parts list. The transmission and rear end fluid changes are a piece of cake also when you get to that point but make sure that you have a fluid pump.

I was always into the American muscle car scene until I got into my 40's. I could never see myself in a Japanese car as my toy but this is pretty much the only car that will fit for me besides a 1970's 240/280Z or a 1993+ Mazda RX7. Don't get me wrong, I'd certainly take an Acura NSX or Toyota Supra if I had to.

I actually forgot to mention those as well! I have Amsoil transmission and rear end fluid. I would love an FD RX-7 as well but I think I missed the reasonable price market on those unfortunately. Every car I get moving forward will be a fun car, I bought a new 4runner last year so I probably have a good 10+ years with that. The hard part will be convincing my wife to add more garage space haha.

I'm just hoping my 2016 Rav4 lasts a long time since it is my daily driver year-round. I drive about 18k a year in that and about 1800 in the S2000. I really miss the days when I had a Toyota Tundra and two other fun cars since I had every need of mine met. Things changed when I got a job that required a 20-mile commute, hence the Rav 4. I really miss having a truck but my dad has one if I ever need to haul anything. My best years were when I had the Tundra, a Mustang Cobra, and a Buick Regal Turbo T which was 12 straight years. I put 8k, 3k, and 1k on them respectively each year which really allowed them to age well.

Tire Rack should be dropping off my Continental ExtremeContact sport tires on Monday so I will put those on. I didn't realize how terrible my back tires were until I took them off for my brake fluid change. The fronts still had 60% tread left and the backs were almost bald! They were Goodyear Eagle GT tires and they aren't made anymore. I never mix tires so a set of four it is. I am just hoping they continue to make these tires in the years to come because I am quite sure I will need another set of backs when the fronts are still >50%. That's just how these cars are.

Let us know how all of your maintenance goes.

I have been known to buy two sets of rears and one set of fronts for this reason. But, only if I expect to put enough miles on the car to burn through a set of rears in one or two years. My experience is that I wear out a typical set of rear tires in about 8-12K miles. Fronts more like 18-20K miles.

I'm in a good place now as far as cars. Tundra for really bad snow days and various truck duties including canoe trips. AWD Mazda 3 for commuting and bad weather driving after the plows have done there thing. S2000 for summer fun. Hard to beat. I feel very fortunate.

No, I bought the summer tires. The car came with Eagles because the previous owner worked at Goodyear. I am sure she got a great deal. This car only sees sunny days April to Oct.

That's a good point. I may pick up another set of rears late next year and just keep them in the basement. It will take me 4 years to drive 8k.
