Thanks to all for the warm welcome...In my past I drove the old two wheel Honda's machines and dreamed of a sprotscar all my life. I spent time as an automechanic when I was in my 20's and now at mid-life I get to have another adolecence !
I am used to rear wheel drive as I grew up on them, (showing my age here) when I got my drives liscence there was not such thing as front wheel drive. We burned up the streets of Brooklyn wiht 63 Chevys with "posi-traction". It was a blast.I must admit, I think this car can do things that I am not capable of doing as a driver, I think I may need some classes, to really enjoy it fully, any reccomendations ?
What do you all think about getting an oil change at 1,000 miles to get any metal out of the engine ? Some say this is wise ? Any early life maintaience tips, already have good qualtiy tire pressure gauge.

Stan,
Much has been said about oil over in S2000 Talk and Under the Hood. People argue all kinds of things, just be aware that Honda recommends leaving the factory fill in until the first oil change interval. Honda also recommends no synthetic oil for the first 10,000 miles. Double check me with the owner's manual (it's been a while since I thought about this). My advice would be to stick with the recommendations both from a warrantee standpoint and for peace-of-mind. Same thing about the "no VTEC through 600 mi breakin" rule.
As for driving... The most fun I've had driving the car (and the most instructional experience) was at a track day last year. You simply won't believe how this car handles. You also quickly discover where the limits are. I recommend track time, autocross, or even driver's school (if you have the time).
