Time to sell or repair?
Hi all, I have a black 2002 S2k which has a 12 months MOT but there is significant rust to the rear wheel arches and also the roof has been patched up after it was slashed. The car is mechanically sound with new brakes and replaced brake pipes.
I'm after some advice - would it be best to sell it now as it is or get it repaired? It drives really well but it needs some TLC on the bodywork! I've had it for 11 years, it had 3 previous owners.
Thanks in advance, Shaun

You may be better off in the end by repairing what you have. If you sold it now you would take a significant loss because of the needs. It may end up costing more to find a suitable replacement and even then you aren't sure of service history and could end up with a more expensive car with different needs. It is a gamble. You know what you have now from 11 years of history so it may be worth it to get estimates for repairs if you can't do it yourself and run the numbers. I'm all about total cost of ownership.
