yeah, the torque, while low, isn't too bad. The turbo-lag on my WRX was 10x worse than the lack of low-end. Personally, I think from 3k up, this car pulls well enough to keep you happy in daily driving.

As for the turning radius, yeah, it's ridiculous. The turn into my driveway is a bit sharper than 90 degrees. With my truck, I have to kinda swing into it. With the s2k, I can almost drive completely past my driveway, give a quick turn to the left, and I'm straight in. Tight radius and tight steering make for a fun time.

i went from an 05 rsx type s to an 06 s2ki. all i can say is the s2k has a lot more power and very fun to drive. i luv driving it around. the only thing is the s2k isn't very good for long trips. after an hour or so, it becomes uncomfortable. the rsx type s is very comfortable and more practical.
I actually find the opposite to be true. I don't think the RSX-S seats are nearly as comfortable as the S2000.

I've also driven my S2000 on 15hour + drives, it's far more comfortable than my Integra for long trips.

Plus the s2000 has vtec unlike the rsx which has vtech i guess..
Uh, vtec vs vtech? Am I missing something here guys? I believe you mean the RSX has VTEC-I and the S2000 simply has VTEC.

Get gears in the S, it pulls forever. I went from an 06 Si to a S2000 and I agree it is different like night and day. However, you can tell a difference because of the vtec switch overs, especially if you have a reflash in the 06 si or the Rsx type S

i was always under the impression that an acura rsx-s can smoke an s2000. it's lighter, and i thought, faster. they are always zipping past me. maybe i drive like an old fogey.

^^the s2k is quicker then the rsx-s.

fwd will get you through worse weather conditions then the s2k will but you will enjoy the s2k alot more in the spring/summer/fall.

Not many bad things i really hear about it... but i do hear about how the driveability sucks. Now coming from an RSX Type S im used to the complete lack of torque downlow... but love the way it screams in vetch. Is the slight bit of torque that the S2000 delivers over the RSX type S (2004) noticable at all? I mean... the cars weight about the same but how do the engines compare downlow? Id like a bit more torque but its no big deal really if its just as bad cause Vtech makes up for it in my mind.
The RSX feels a little more tractable down low, but it isn't. The S2000 will pull harder in any gear, at any RPM. VTEC is FAR more pronounced in the S2000. The powertrain is stronger in just about every way.

Also... one thing i hate on my RSX type S is the huge turning circle.... im wondering how good/bad the turning radius is on S2000.
The turning circle is much tigher in the S2000. Very much so.

Lastly... how bad is road noise? Ive never owned a convertible before. Any other problems with the top?
Road noise is higher in the S. Both tire noise and noise through the top add up to a more aural experience. Test drive one and see for yourself. Not a problem for tens of thousands of owners.

How does the 6 speed compare with the one in the RSX Type S?
The 6 speed in the RSX is a major dissapointment. It's notchy and I'm convinced that 3rd gear is not directly over 4th. Everytime I drive one I feel that 4th is down and to the side instead of straight down from 3rd. The S2000 gearbox is arguably the best on the market. It's like a operating a well lubed riflebolt.

Test drive one and you will be smitten

vtech cordless phones ftw.

but as for the turning radius, it isnt that great in the s2000 either.

as a comparision, ive driven both rsx and s2000 and i would choose the s2000 every single time unless i had to travel.

Yep, that is exactly right.
