i was always under the impression that an acura rsx-s can smoke an s2000. it's lighter, and i thought, faster. they are always zipping past me. maybe i drive like an old fogey.
~50-60 lbs lighter, but certainly not faster, fogey.

Lol, they are prolly zipping past you because they are driven by kids trying to make themselves feel better by zipping past a S2K
They are definitely not faster.

fwd will get you through worse weather conditions then the s2k will but you will enjoy the s2k alot more in the spring/summer/fall.
That's kind of a myth, tires are more important that what wheels are driving the car. Plenty of S owners drive in the winter without issue thanks to snow tires.

And the S has a much better turning radius - there's no drivetrain gear crammed in between the front wheels like on the Acura, so the wheels can turn much more. I can pull u-turns in 1.5 lanes vs 3 for a typical fwd car.

Not even that. I believe the base model RSX is barely under 2800 pounds, but the Type-S is in the low 2800 pound range, just like the S2000.

haha, im actually about to go from an s2k TO an RSX-S.

I drive my car daily, and take frequent trips. its a PITA! the car is amazing to drive for sure, but sometimes when you just wanna lean the seat back and relax, you cant
A) theres no room to
B) the car is too demanding.

Plus i find the RSX to be a little cheaper, which helps me to afford my "toys"

the K-series is more responsive to mods, while sure the s2k out of the hole will take the rsx, IMO the rsx should beat it from a roll, stock and mod for mod.

And you dont have to replace weak parts at 300hp like s2000's

One thing I DO love, and am completely stuck on is the convertable top!

yes I think the base is just under 2800, but the RSX-S number I came up with was 2840. S2Ks are just under or just over 2900 lbs depending on the year.

I went from an rsx-s to an s2000.. no regrets . RSX is more bolt-on friendly, I had I/RH/E/KPRO and gutted down to almost 2500lbs and I would pull on stock s2000's VERY easily.

Your car has

How can I get that on my S?

But yeah, you should go test drive the S and then all your questions will be answered.

S2000 > RSX-S

you do realize that the F20 has forged interals whereas the K doesnt right? you do also realize that its been doucmented 100 times that the f20 responds to mods just as well as K's except for cams?

i do agree on the comfort thought, the s2 is sure no G35c, but then against it was never suppose to be.

oh, and the only time a RSXS will be a stock s2k from a roll is when its got I/RH/E/Kpro and then is it really still a drivers race from a roll. modded s2ks have NO problem with modded DC5's, atleast i dont.

i went from an 02 RSX-S to an 01 S2000

I miss the RSX-S very much
Overall i would probably rate the RSX-S higher than the S2000, but I do not regret my decision/move at all.

The RSX-S is a lot more practical, comfortable and luxurious.

The S2000 is more fun to drive, RWD, and convertible.

tough choice if you ask me, but for where i live, Montreal Canada, I would stick with the RSX-S unless you have a nice winter car

I jsut hate not being able to drive my car 5 months of the year

But once again i do not regret my decision, the S2000 is a head turner, and 9000rpm is such a joy.
