Default From turbo specv to s2000 Maryland

Hey guys i have been lurking here for a little and i figure i will introduce myself...my name is steve and i live in hagerstown md i just bought a silver 2000 s2000 and for far i love it i haven't done much to it but i changed diff fluid (75w/90) and change transmission fluid with honda MTF...as far as handling the thing is crazy compared to sentra.. i was 4 years deep in the sentra game and i am done with that whole thing i can honestly say im glad to be out of it cause sentra people are cheap people and 90% are dreamers...there is at least 5 threads a day of "i found this turbo kit on ebay" i still have the sentra but it is all back to stock and i plan on doing some things to the s2000 real soon...You wont here much from me because i tend to read before i post so i don't ask or make useless posts...So there i am lol my specv was turboed then procharged then back to turbo lol so i am not new to this and im fairly young...enough about me the only problem i have had with the s2000 is the soft top being loud when driving but read how to fix that/stock stero blows i have it turned up all the time cause of the soft top lol...other than that i love it and can't wait to make it better...just a heads up this is the most impractical car ever!!! but i have to get it out my system now before i have a family

Haha nice! almost identical to mine. I had the red mats that it came with originally and they got completely jacked up so I got the black ones aswell and they look a lot better in my opinion. I know thats the last you care about but I just put them in today so thought id share

Yeah i def need new floor mats lol

If someone could answer these things i would appreciate if you tell me to search i will do that too

Most beneficial mod like other than turbo and supercharger what gains most

Make any superchargers that don't need you to tap for oil

i have 125k miles i changed oil/spark plug/diff fluid/tranney fluid/ anything else i should change while at it?

Also any local people that will cut hood out i know it is easy but i am scared of messing it up lol

Thanks in advance

mods are personal opinion, other than FI there is not much more power to be gained without ems and tuning. Even then you wont net a whole lot more. Just get you some wheels or suspension and enjoy it until you boost it.

change your clutch and brake fluid, maybe coolant if your feelin froggy. Then just do a good onceover on all the bolts and bushings.

as for superchargers, most of the kits retun the oil through your drain bolt, I'm not a huge fan of that but people dont really have any issues with that.

and why do you want to cut your hood?????

You can either put a few grand into NA for ~230whp or put in a few more for ~300+whp with FI. Science of Speed has some excellent supercharger options.

If you think the hood cut is cool than go for it, i dont know how much you'll get out of the cooling aspect of it.. I used to have a '02 spec v lol.. Fun and decently reliable! but not fast or good for handeling what-so-ever. Also have a MY00 silver s2k now, worlds better

Yeah i liked the whole specv thing for awhile but i just can't stand how cheap they are and how all in all it is a horrible platform....but yes i def like the s2000 better although i nearly have to buy a soft top because the blind sports are the worst i have even been in lol....im going to napa this weekend and buying a CR serpentine belt and deleting a/c since i will never use it and i need a new belt anyways
