Default We finally meet.....

Hi everybody. I (I should say my wife and I) are happy new S2000 owners. We just bought a 2008 Laguna Blue S2000 from Williamson Honda in Lincoln, Nebraska. We've looked at S2000's for a long time now and finally decided with 2009 being the last year and the price being right, that it was time. That and we've had an extra space in the garage for a while now. I plan to enjoy it as much as possible, but it'll be my wife's daily driver when she retires in about 4 years. (She's retiring early, we're not THAT old). The "balance has shifted" caption has to do with the fact that we once owned 4 Chevrolet's and 1 Honda. We now own 2 Chevrolet's (old Camaro's) and 3 Honda's. 2001 Accord Coupe, 2006 Ridgeline and the 2008 S2000. It's really GM's fault. Someday if you're interested, I'll tell you the whole sorted story, but IMHO, it's one of the reasons they are in the shape they're in now.
Anyway, I really look forward to getting to now more of you and getting this thing out on the road. DAMN it's fun to drive. We're both glad that we passed on the BMW Z4 and the Lotus Elise. Reliable fun for almost half the money. You can't beat that.
It is giving me a bit of an identity crisis though. My Camaro Club buddies think I've lost my mind, The new Camaro gets unvailed and two weeks later we buy another Honda. ROFLMAO.

^HAha! Welcome. I came from a camaro to a s2000 as well I gotta say, its super different, You'll deff. miss the torque I'm planning on keeping the s2k as a track, and buying a corvette as a daily in a few years - one of the few GM cars I still like.

Check the FAQ's on these boards since they're really helpful for new owners. These cars are reliable, not not without proper maintenance!

Thanks.
We've still got a '68 and a '69 Camaro, so I can still get my torque fix.

I'll maintain the heck out of this thing. I promise......that and the wife will kill me if I don't.
