What is the BEST?
I know I might get flamed for this because it is all over this forum...but what year do you think is the best and why. Here is why I ask
I am seriously thinking about buying an S2000 in the very near future. And Im looking for the differences between the years, which i've found. But they only discuss the difference between 00-01 and 02. I know that 02 is much better and most people say to save for that year, but are the 03-06 the same if not better then 02?
Most of this is "stuff i've heard" but my friends say that they lowered the redline to 8 insted of 9 on the higher years but increased the engine to 2.2 from 2.0
What im hoping for in this thred is a link to the exact differenced between what they added and took out of the S2000 from year to year, or a kind person to tell me.
Or you could just put the year you think is the best and say why ^_^

No flames, just an observation: it would have been easier to do a search than type your question, and you would have had your answer right away instead of waiting for replies, if any serious one's ever arrive.

What I have noticed about the different cars Ive drivin, the different makes and models and even people that drive these cars is that none of them really love their car as much as the s2k. I have been in different communities and seen quite a bit but everyone I talk to that have driven this car so far has said nothing but extrodinary things about it. Even my friend who drives a 12 second STI fully modded sais that the S2k is incredible. I still to this day have no driven one, or even been in one that is being driven for that matter because of those damn dealers that wont let you test drive them even if your interested because people take "joy rides". Anyway, all Im trying to say is that if/when I do get this car Im sure I will fit in among this car loving community where everything is all and well. It kind of reminds me of a Utopia where as some of the other communities remind me of a bad neighborhood. lol

Very interesting observation, fwuffy... We S2000 owners are a very engaged group of folks who really love what Honda did here. There are exceptions, of course, but most of us appreciate what a truly amazing car the S is. It's funny to watch people's reactions say at first time autocross or track day... Most gain new respect for their car.
Sure, there are other cars out there that are exciting, fun, good-looking, etc. but the S is truly unique in its price range, and unique in Honda's lineup as well.
