I've heard rumors that '09 will be the last year for the S2000, but has this been confirmed? Is there a CR available for '09? Thanks,

Has not been confirmed by Honda so not yet. I don't see why they can't keep the car going.

 

I'd be very surprised if it drags on for even one more year. It would depend on the sales this year. Which I think are sh!tty so far. It is time to put the s2k to rest.

Back when I bought my 01 new at the dealership in Atlanta they told me that it WAS the last year. It was only to be a one year run and Honda decided to just do an additional year (according to the salesman).

I was buying the car to keep as a collector and a year later when I saw they were coming out with an 02, I sold it and bought my Viper.

In one of these (countless) when-is-the-s2000-ending threads, it was stated that the 09s are just leftover 08's (by VIN number). Not sure if that is true, maybe we can find a member who actually bought a 2009 model and have them check.
