Default What should I do?

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice, as I'm not sure what to do. Basically, I'm looking to sell/trade my car for an s2k.

Currently, I have an '06 Subaru Legacy GT with about 85k miles on it and it's slightly modified. Here is my dilema. The car has a pretty nice size dent on the right/rear door with some damage to the quarter panel. Do I:

a. try and trade it in for s2k as is
b. fix the car through insurance then try to sell/trade it.

Problem I have with option "b" is, if I do fix it through insurance I'd have to pay a $500 deductible, pay for rental and my insurance payments would go up.

Also, the car is not payed off...still owe about $7k.

So what do you think? Option a? b? any other suggestions? I'm dying for s2k!!!

Thanks,
David

Try 'DentWizard' to improve your dent/damage issue. They can do decent work for the same cost as your deductable and your insurance is not involved. Try them for a free estimate tell them you are going to pay out of pocket.

Just be smart financially about the situation. Many of us owners were at one time 'dying' for s2k. I waited 7 long years from the release date to get mine and I'm sure you'll find other owners here who waited too. There are plenty of good s2ks in the market and will be for a while.

Be patient, be smart. Welcome to s2ki.

Personally I would pay for the repair out of pocket and then trade the car in so you can finance the s2000 you want. Either way your going to lose money getting into an s2000. Good luck with your decision and keep us posted.

Thanks for the advice guys!

I guess I should have described my..."dent" a little better. It's more like an accident and the entire door needs to be replaced (Subaru doesnt sell the skin)

I guess I could just get it appraised somehwere like CarMax, as is, and see what I can get.

Go junk yard shopping and find a used door

Get the Subaru fixed, a used door sounds like a great idea.
