Wow, if you can get an S2000 for $28.5 then congratulations. I couldn't get the Suzuka Blue for that price two weeks ago. Maybe I was just too impatient.

I was going off Consumer Reports and a number of NorCal internet managers who wouldn't go below $29.5. For a 2005 S2000, CR subtracts a $995 dealer holdback, bringing the "CR Bottom Line Price" to $29,375.

Is the $750 in addition to the "dealer holdback?"

I still think getting a new 05 in the 28s is very low (and lucky for the poster). You're doing very well to get one in the 29s.

I was assuming that was pre-tax... Taxes, of course, vary by state.

I was referring to the pre-tax/lic price. My 2005 cost $29.5K + 7.75% sales tax, + Lic/Reg. OTD was @ $32K. Importantly, I got the color I wanted.
