Default Hoping to buy a 2006 S2K

Hi!

I have been looking at this car for several years, and am thinking I might finally have the guts to pull the trigger and buy one this Spring. I am thinking '06 because I really like the idea of VSA and am not that much of a purist. I also like the newer look a bit better, though it's not much different.

My first question is - where can I get some guidance on what I should pay for a new model? I am a lifetime Honda owner and usually drive cars into the ground, so I have only actually bought one other car in my life and don't have much experience with talking dealers down.

I have read through much of the posts here and the FAQs, but as with any prospective owner any info anyone has to pass along would be much appreciated.

It sort of depends on the time of year and the location you're looking in ketjlh... MY06 seem to be going for 32-34K (pre-tax, etc.) at the moment. People are picking up last year's model new for around 30K.

Got my '06 for $31.5k, came out to be $33.8k out the door. A few other people have gotten theirs for $31.5k also. I haven't heard about anyone doing any better so shoot for $31.5k if you want.

Thanks - this is great info.

I did receive an offer from a reputable local dealer for just over $30K, but it was one of those "buy in the next 10 days" type of offers, and I'm not quite there yet.
