Wojofoo - that is pretty much my situation too. thanks for the info!

matt-p - good info/advice. i am at UOIT for automotive engineering

kryptonite - damn, that pretty much answers every question i had. thanks a lot. really gets me thinking of it in a different perspective. i never knew there was so much to consider. i have driven stick before, on a beater EG, and a Scion FR-S. i do need more practice though. none of the fancy footwork yet lol, though i simply just know how it works on paper

i would love to own an s2k some day, but i guess it would make a great second car. after all your tips i am leaning towards getting an EK for now, and then i will get an s2k as soon as i graduate. indeed, osap is a very complex thing, and i know that an expensive car will really change the way i get funding for school. i can't possibly afford paying all of it myself.

If OSAP is the only thing on your mind, have the ownership be in a family members name rather than yours. that way you dont have to list it as a personal asset.
