sometimes being unique can be trendy but can be passe in a couple of years.

classic example the scion tC dual roof was unique and trendy when it came out. now everyone from lexus, pontiac and vw has some sort of dual sunroof in a car.

Well.... the S has the more sleek look to it like a real sports car should have and the Z has more of a muscle car kind of look... no messing around. There are tons more Z's than S's out there and if you get the S be ready to get some looks.
