Speaking of lumbar support, the center of the inner part of the seat backs aren't attached, so if you wanted to, you could stuff a towel or something back there. Until you mentioned that, I totally forgot I did that years ago when I first got my car. 
Glad you got it home safe! The first gear clunk might be normal. Might think about replacing the tires. I realize they might look brand new but if they're the original tires from 2005, they may be nearing, or in excess of, their shelf life.

Congrats on the new buy. For tires I would recommend Star Specs or Ventus V12. Both affordable tires and can be used for daily use and the occasional auto cross. Now any pics of the new ride?

Well, I just returned after 36 hours...took the flight from NY to Milwaukee. Took a taxi to the s2000 that I won the bid on. Out of this dilapidated garage came out a beautiful 2005 s2k with 7900 miles. Owner has not been feeling well over the years and was giving the car up. Transaction was great and soon my 1000 mile drive began. This car is way more comfortable than I anticipated with the help of a sweatshirt as lumbar support. I do notice the first gear clunk at a dead stop and wonder if the 2005 has the upgraded mtf or not. Car handles exceptionally well and she moves. What should I anticipate doing to her since she is past 7500 miles?

Congratulations on your purchase and drive home. I found the stock seats uncomfortable after a few hours on a day trip, but when I tossed in my self-inflating lumbar support pillow, it made all the difference in the world. I did a three day trip with the S and that lumbar support was invaluable. I also stop about every 1.5 to 2 hours and take a break for a few minutes. That makes long drives in any vehicle quite tolerable.

was outside yesterday installing a cr front spoiler. i figured this one honda's best designs and function so i bought one. the car feels slightly more grounded and I like it.
gave her a nice polish with menzerna 1500 and some glanz qax by zaino. came out great and now im just waiting for my ct intake.
ive now owned this vehicle almost one month and i cant tell you guys and girls how wonderful this beast is. Im trying to keep her nice and simple and just enjoy this baby. so far to date ive driven her a good deal and now have the odometer at 9750 or something close. heres a couple pics, and if anyone knows where i can get a fujitsubo legalis r exhaust that would be great.
