Default wtb '09 s2000 - advice needed please

Hello folks,

It's been much too long...sigh . Here's my story. So, I've owned two previous s2000's (#1 - '01 ssm, then #2 - '05 ssm). Tragically, I lost the first in a car accident, the car was totaled. The second time around, well, my wife stopped working so I had to trade it in for the "Family Car". Fast forward 5 years, and after many years of saving up my pennies, and suffering it out driving a '98 accord the time has come to return to the S2000. I must say how devastating it was to learn that Honda discountinued this car, but we sort of all knew that a good thing such as this couldn't possibly last.

Anyways, here's my question for the wonderful members of this site. I'm ready to pull the trigger on either a MY08 or MY09 - black/black. Conceivably, in an ideal world, I would love nothing more than to purchase an untitled MY09, but odds are that I won't be lucky enough to find one. Having said that, I did manage to find a '09 with approximately 300 miles on it through a dealership, as I'm located in Los Angeles it's not a local dealership. Any suggestions on what kind of pricing I could offer this dealership for the '09? They state the car is mint, non-titled, (they're calling it new), dealer-trade. They seem to be really motivated to move it, but how motivated is the question here. I've seen drastic price swings here the past several months so I am somewhat at a loss with regards to pricing. Now, assuming I'm unable to locate a new MY09 (aside from the aforementioned), or this deal doesn't work out for whatever reason, I'm sort of accepting the fact that I'll have to settle for the previous owner paying for the depreciation of a new car, which I suppose isn't all that bad. So fellow enthusiasts, how shall go about this? I look to you for guidance. Other than comparison shopping what individuals and/or dealers are pricing out their cars in the marketplace here, ebay, cars.com, autotrader.com (just to name a few sites), any suggestions for a safe & wortwhile approach? Now, if by chance anyone may know of a vehicle that may suit my needs, please please send them my way!

I do appreciate any feedback or comments, and God willing, I hope to soon rejoin my fellow S2000 enthusiasts (again & hopefully for the last time )!

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day.
