When I was having similar clutch problems, the dealership I took it to in JAX said I needed a new master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch, PP, and throwout bearing before they even looked at the car. After they looked at it, they still quoted me something like $500 to replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder -- which I said no to -- but they were really cool and they did flush the clutch fluid for free.

It turns out with mine, I guess the clutch line came loose somehow and let a bunch of air in the line. After they flushed it and tightened everything back up, I've gone 6 months and probably 6k miles with no issues. Start with the cheapest, easiest things first. Check your clutch master cylinder for air bubbles.

 

well thats what ima invest into next then, ima gonna locate and get me a slave cylinder. Anyone selling one?

 

You need to buy this new. They aren't very expensive compared to a new clutch. About 70 if I remember correctly.

 

hell master cylinder leaking when i bought the car.. easy job.. cheap.. that master cylinder lasted about 100k now i have a leaking MC... the circle of life...

 

1. Check the master cylinder for air bubbles. This is the sign of a loose hose or leaking master cylinder/slave cylinder.

2. Check around the outside of both parts for any leaking fluid.

You normally replace both the master and slave cylinders at the same time. Together the parts are like $160-170 online, including shipping.

The slave cylinder is probably the easiest thing to replace on the car. The master requires some know-how, but together my buddy and I did both on his S in under two hours.

 

Update : Im back on the road, thx for all the advice.. bad case of air bubbles. looking for cause. but bleeding did the trick for the moment. will update again soon
