Default Does anyone recognize this GPW from Jacksonville? Includes photos.

Apparently the owner since new in Jacksonville no longer owns this. I am trying to find out about its modification history to decide if I should fly to the seller and purchase.

From what I can tell, the exhaust is OEM but it has an SCW performance radiator, an AEMV2 intake, a Skunk2 Alpha throttle body, , what looks to be a modified intake manifold, an APR REworks strut bar, some kind of blue suspension components, an Alloy craft shroud, a Mugen Oil Cap, an unpainted AP1 lip or replica, upgraded stereo, and quite oddly, a stock exhaust and shift knob. Otherwise I don't know about its modifications, but I would assume the member was active in the Jacksonville area based on the modifications.

Is anyone familiar with this car? I am concerned considering the throttle body modification and radiator that it was a previously turboed or supercharged car that has been partially restored to stock.

Mileage and price? Model year?

Only car I've seen that was turboed and then returned to stock had all sorts of evidence under the hood in the form of sheet metal and shields removed on the exhaust side of the engine, battery moved to the trunk, vents cut in the hood, etc. This looks pretty clean by contrast and the mods I can see look like mainly fluff. The oil cap, frame over and air deflector under the hood are dress-up.

u can usually tell if the car was returned to stock from fi. usually things need to be relocated in the engine bay specifically around where the header and intake is to make room for the parts. as someone already mentioned this looks pretty clean

I don't play games with other people's mistakes and stories. I'm just trying to find out if the owner was a member on this forum or not. It seems that someone with a skunk2 throttle body and ported intake manifold wouldn't be on here.

This was discussed during a recent coffee meet. The active local people do not know this car. Jacksonville is a big, spreadout city, so it’s quite possible the owner was never active here. Good luck with your next steps.

Just based on the pics and comments I would put money on fi. Even if it was the motor can be perfectly fine.

Thanks for the information, guys! I decided it wasn't worth the flight due to the risk. It is in Clarksville TN for $16000 w 37k miles. Found the seller on eBay.

The boat had Tennessee license. Was wondering why ... guess that’s why.
