Default Good Place in Jax for Maintenance.

I posted on the main site and they directed me over here for a good place to get some corrective maintenance done. I was just seeing if anyone knew of a good place so that I don't have to sell my baby.

What dealership did you take it to?

The only realistic cause for a bent valve on an ap2 is if one of your keepers broke which would allow the valve to drop down slightly ( creating the possibility of contact with the piston )
How long have you had the car and where did you buy it?

Have someone else trusted on here do a compression and/or leak down test so you know for sure. For the 5k they quoted you, you could have another engine swapped in there and then some. Ridiculous.

I took it to Coogan Honda only to be turned away because it didn't have a check engine light and they didn't want to deal with it. It's currently at Wesley Chapel (tampa) Honda. I was expecting to have to put some in to repair it, but I just want to get it out of there before they try stealing more of my time and money.

I bought it from a Honda dealership in Clearwater, and it's an '07 with 80k on it.

Yes, take it back to where you bought it. However DC2 and Righteous Spec are good folks to talk to if you have questions and/or need stuff done. 5k is insanity. But that's the dealer for you.

I could do a compression test and I could also look at your valvetrain to check the keepers. If you have a garage here I can pull the head if need be (I have a lot of experience with this). And there is areally good head shop out here. From the sound of this the car is in Tampa, if so I don't know how safe it would be to drive it here.
