smashed rear bumper
so i walk out to my car this morning and the passenger side corner of the rear bumper has obviously been back into. luckily it doesn't look like it hit the sheet metal but i'm still out a bumper. anybody know of someone with an AP2 rear bumper they are trying to get rid of?
silverstone would be ideal but i'm not too picky. i'd love to run it through my insurance but they gave me a ridiculous answer when i called them and asked what it would do to my rates.."well we can't say for sure but it will go up anywhere from $10 to $100 per month" !!! that's one hell of a window!!! i could deal with something on the low end of that spectrum but not with anything on the higher side so i guess the insurance company wins again, f-ing pricks!

That sucks. Your rates should not go up for this. Maybe Timmy Y. can chime in. What's the deductible? If it's $500 you might as well just fix it yourself.
Do you see any other paint color scraped on the bumper? Maybe you can find the prick.

First it sounds like a collision claim since an object hit you. Your deductible would apply unless you file under the at fault party. It should also be a not at fault claim and no surcharge should be applied.
Who is your insurance company?
This information is from my experience talking the My companies claim rep since I am not licensed in claims.
