Okay, wow. Looks like have some typing and explaining to do then.
So I give your shop "props" because I love the cars you guys build for your own personal use. You make me jealous about how quick you can make your cars, while still retaining a good physical feature and not going over board like some do i.e. cutting holes in exterior parts to "lose weight" or add a, i think it is called a rear bumper defusser, the long metal peice with the large holes in it to release air caught under the bumper at high speeds. Anyways, what I am getting at is you (Steve I do believe) know what you are talking about and build amazing cars.
Now, I have talked to some employees that have worked at your shop before and I do not agree wit what they say nor do I trust them. (I am NOT giving any names on this one) But I can assure you that you, Tommy, or (i forget other guys name. Black gentleman with the black/white STI).
As for the parts that are "worthless". I used a pretty harsh word here i guess. I apologize. The parts i am talking about are the Heavy, knock off rims that are cheap and are made for asthetic use. I would never purchase them for these reasons but others may feel differently about them.
Another thing was a sales man in there (younger guy) was trying to sell me a Hyperground kit for cheap performance stating "It would give me more torque for my lacking 00' Civic DX" That i did not believe so I did not purchase them.
The 05' Rio S2K. I should have stated AP2 then instead of 05'. I thought that was the year of it by memory. So 07', with the tricky throttle programming. I can understand how there were no Turbo kits at the time of the build. Now, when I said build before, I was simply stating Turbomkit install, fabrication and Tune. To me, that is a build. I suppose to others it is not since no motor work is being done. I was their talking to the builder, Mike, and he told me that the owner was setting up an interview with HondaTuning for his car and was going to get Mike into the article as well since we was the Man who fabricated the kit for it. Now, Through hear say (I should have stated that before) I was told by some fellow street guys that the owner blew his motor due to over boosting. Not sure how reliable the source was or even if they had heard from someone else, I just figured since i heard it from 3 different people, it had to be true. guessed wrong since you have the upper hand on that and still talk to the guy.
And the last thing was the cars that I laughed at. These were long time ago, possibly when your shop was located on Beach and Peach st. Mixed variety of cars. some civics, some eclipses, some integras, All of which looked like Pep boys on wheels. They had crap sounding exhaust cans (unsure if it was full exhaust or just muffler). When they popped their hoods, they had asthetic parts and they were full of cheer as they bragged about them too i.e. aftermarket spark plug covers, spark plug wires, short ram intakes. Just down right low quality cars (i say low quality instead of low budget because even though they were low budget, everything looked like it was just thrown together in a hurry. Now the only clue i had that they went to Velocity Trneds was the fact they had large stikers iver their windows. This could be misleading though so that is why I decided not to go into detail before.
I'm Sorry Steve if any of my information before was misleading. Hopefully his clears it up.

I was laughing to when I just read about the cars from back in the days. Yes I messed up a few times and gave away alot of VT stickers and VT banners to just about anyone and anything that 4 wheels on it. (Trying to get the name out back then...actuallyy still am-trying to get the name out). I can see your point there.
Anyways I appreciate the response. I appreciate the kind words about our cars as well. We do really work hard on everything we do. Now just like EVERYONE...we are not perfect, but we do try our hardest to stay on point.
Again Thanks
I was just wanna say something about the over weight wheel comment blah blah, I think that almost anyone in this town, including a couple s2000 owners on this forum will tell you I know more about rims then most people and about every rim produced by most companies, whether it be Blitz, Yokohama, Rays, Work, Veilside, or Enkei of Japan. The thing is that for the most part in the past alot of the people that worked there, like Brian, haven't taken pride in their work like other employees we've had. I can tell you now, in the past 6 months, everything has changed for the best. We have technicians that know their shit, can adapt to different situations, whether it is building a wiring harness for a Jeep with a LT1 or tuning K/F powered cars. We have Adam welding, who as most know, worked for us, went to Stage 6, and now is back with us. So if you are unsure about the quality of work but have brought you car to Stage 6 in the past year, I gurantee Adam was the one that either worked on it or fabricated parts for it. Sorry if my approach came off bad but this is something I enjoy doing and take alot of pride on, specially the pricing on parts I give people, and don't like people giving us a bad name beacuse of incidents in past with other salesmen or technicians.
Noah does know his parts. I can vouch for that, having worked in the industry for 8 years now myself. If I ever have a question about a type of wheel, I go straight to him. He gets a new set of baller wheels every month.

I've been in Jacksonville since 2004, I attended all of the ricer meets that used to be at St Johns and Atlantic behind the shell station, BJ's and all the random spots around town. I have seen VT come a long way in every aspect of Steves business. I've dealt with Stage 6 on multiple occaisions and I have dealt with VT on several occaisions. In the last 2 years VT has come a long way in regards to taking care of their customers, and in my opinion they are head over heals better than Stage 6. I feel this way because unless you know the people at Stage 6 or are coming in to drop a good bit of money, they aren't concerned with getting your business. VT isn't the shop that is 'doing shady business' anymore. I didn't know any of them personally back then but i know everyone now and they are all stand up people.

Actually, I'm pretty sure Adam got removed from welding/wrenching at stage 6 because he kept messing up stuff. Then moved up front to save grace cuz he's a nice guy. Didnt work out, so he went back to VT.
I know for a fact there was numerous items that were fabricated by adam, messed up, thrown away, turn out to be a waste of materials.
About that 2007 turbo s2k. Is the same one VT tried to get Mase to tune? but he didnt want to touch it? I wasnt aware it blew up, but I did hear it caught fire due to installation errors done by VT. I'm not sure if the have any other experience with s2000s.
At the end of the day, not sure Id ever let VT work on my car, but if they had parts instock (that i actually could use. that werent stolen/used), I would give them business if I got a good deal. Supporting local business in this time of economy crisis is a good thing. (Weak economy wont stop me from turbo'ing my s2000 when Mase comes out with his kit!!)
and LOL at steve taking a shot at Stage 6 and drag them down too. We should leave stage 6 out of this. But as far as i know, Stage 6/Mase still own the dyno but the dyno is in storage...Noise Ordinace laws suckkk.

Normally I would sit here an defend the response, but your probably like 16 years old. So I'll leave it alone. One thing I want to recommend is for you to get your information right. It will keep you from looking as dumb as you just made yourself look like. Also try minding your own business. Sticking your nose in other people's business is uncool. To say the least.
Thanks for your input. Have a nice day.

This thread seems to be going in a bad direction.
Your going to find it rough on here if you try to bad mouth Mase.

Everyone has opinions, I can respect that. I am not a resident here in the forum so I am an outsider to some. I have no problem with that. Some folks have their S2K Gods and you can't talk about them. I get it. If thats the way you roll, well thats your business. No big deal.
We have countless cars come and go from VT every single day. Now since I'm in a S2000 forum I'll talk about this vehicle and what we have done, since a poster/member said we have no experience. (again no facts just hear say)
From Clutches, Nitrous Kits, Suspensions, Turbo Kits, Superchargers, Countless Bolt ons we have done alot of work on S2K and all different kinds of cars for that matter. We have worked on quite a few S2K's. Some of our clientel in the S2K community are older fans of the car that don't go out and hang out. They mod them for the love of the industry/hobby. We do have a younger clientel as well. The heavy hitters too that have done major mods. They all continue to come by for work, parts, knowledge, and just to hang out sometimes. Do we brag about every single job. NO! We let the work speak for itself. Our clients come back get more mods etc...
We build all kinds of cars. Now more than ever. We have diversity in the performance industry now more than ever. From building 500+HP NA Vettes, tuning 600+HP Mustangs, Custom t-bucket LS1 cars, SCCA cars, NASA cars, Drag cars, 700+ HP Hondas/Acura builds and Tunes or just plain'ol street cars. From the novice to the pro we have been put on the line and have come through for many many drivers/ folks from all over.
Not to many folks hear about the good, thats just the way it is. Folks always hear about the bad and usually get half the story. I know this. Thats why I am here and responding to some posters. Some with sarcasm, some with respect.
VT is here and if you choose to do business with us, you will find your experience to be a good one. Our team is in this industry and every single one of them loves it. If they didn't they wouldn't be here, because this isn't a get rich business. The staff at VT will be there for anyone that wants to be helped, any one that needs a question answered about a parts or a modification. Work that needs to be done. No problem. If we don't know something we will tell you we don't know and lead you in the right direction to get an answer.
So if you have a concern or a question please just ask. Come by or just call. If there are any concerns we are available to answer any questions you may have.
Thanks Steve
