10Aug14 Pics added! - Identifying an authentic Amuse R1 bumper?
Do any of you guys know of sure fire ways to identify whether an R1 bumper is authentic or not. Are there any distinct markings? If anyone can provide detailed pictures of some authentic ones that would be excellent. I've search the internet for some info and haven't come up with anything concrete.
Thanks.
Thanks.

yes authentic bumpers should have a white gel coat on the outside and cream colored on the inside. Should come with black grille and the holes should be drilled very precisely. If you have one you're interested in, get pictures of all of these areas and we should be able to tell for you. The fiberglass is fairly thin and has sharp, detailed contours around the headlight and mounting areas as well--something that fakes usually don't do as well.

It looks fake. Pay attention to the detail on the upper part of the bumper where it meets the fender/hood, where the small metal brackets hold the bumper to the fender and compare them to these (http://www.gotuning.com/product_info...roducts_id=183) and (https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/981...muse-vs-shine/).
Next the outer edges, where the bumper/fender meet have only one slot open on each end. However the authentic has two.
Finally the fiberglass work and sanding seems very sloppy on the upper part(where VIN stickers are on stock bumpers) and on the bottom.

yep looks super fake. the fiberglass work is horrible. And the front air dam, lower face, is bowed up which is a usual indication of fakes. Also, all the drilled holes are not clean at all--and the portion of the bumper that wedges into the headlight brackets doesn't have cut outs like it should.

Awesome, but not awesome. lol
Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate it! Now I have an idea of what to look for in the future.
Would anyone by chance have a close up picture of the fiberglass work on the inside of the bumper? Just something to reference for the future to compare to.
