Default AP1 intake cam in an AP2

Hey guys. I have a AP2 08 S2k and I have aquired an AP1 intake cam. I am gonna have the cam installed very soon but was not goin to do cam gears.

My question is: should I do the Toda Cam gears for $700 I really dont wanna spend that kind of loot on cam gears. Has anyone done the AP1 intake cam with or without cam gears? I am just curious what type of power I am leaving on the table by not doin the gears...I know NA tuning on the s2k is splitting hairs but I am just curious.

Ive heard of people doing it. Ive also been contemplating this mod if I remain N/A. Seems like an easy drop in and go cam install.

I'm in the same situation. I have the cam sitting here waiting to be installed, I just haven't had the time. I look forward to hearing your review.

please get a baseline dyno and then change NOTHING BUT the cam, this way we can finally see if there is a real performance benefit.

The last guy was turbo and added other mods along with the cam, essentially showing us nothing, lol

yes, its similar to the difference between the ITR and CTR intake cam.. only a minor difference but we have to take what we can get with the F series. ha

After you do what DeathSled suggusted you should get the Hondata Reflash which will allow you to rev to 8600 rpms and really take advantage of the ap1 cam
