oh you know what, being able to rev over 8000rpm is probably crucial when installing the AP1 cam. I bet it picks up no power below 8000, but can maybe produce a little more power than the AP2 intake cam from 80000-9000.

Installing it on a car with a stock ecu is probably a waste come to think of it.

We'll see what happens after the dynos
except turbo guys have shown you can build boost 500 rpm sooner with the cam which says something about the mid range.

I wonder how this mod would work with a Supercharged car?

well, this cam causes less overlap so I would assume thats not ideal on a boosted car.

I was thinking...both ap1 cams might be beneficial on a ap2 spinning to 8600rpm.

There shouldn't be any less overlap, in fact there should be slightly more.

Dude more Overlap is good for a boosted car? Not really, it means you are spitting out boost when both sets of valves are open. Less overlap is better for boost as you are already forcing the air in. On NA builds, overlap helps the scavaging process.

My guess is the overlap doesn't change much between the AP1 and AP2 cam. Whenver you increase duration their may be a little more overlap, but it's really minimal compared to what you can do with cam gears.
