You're all crazy. 60mm exhausts are not going to make anywhere near what a 70 + tuning can. A 6-7 hp difference is HUGE when you're looking at exhausts - being that they only make small numbers anyway. If you're going to spend the money, get the best that their is (performance wise). I don't know why you're looking at ASM though - you can get the same product in T1R for 4 or 5 hundred dollars cheaper from AJR, looks just as good, and gives the same power.

Or, get some 2.75 piping fabbed up to fit your car, and buy a quality muffler. You'll have the same exact thing as your 1500 dollar ASM setup for only 400.

I realize the ASM is very expensive compared to ther systems, but I like the fact that it's a quiet 70mm. The T1R's are evry nice systems, but my fear is the 70mm may just be too loud for my liking.

But the price is absolutely ludicrous... you can get some dynamat and do your trunk and doors and help with sound... just something to think about.

Price is quite high, I agree. Wonder why it is so high though? I have tried to find dyno charts on this exhaust and the only good thing people can say about it is that it sounds nice.

Are you serious?? The guy wants to get something for performance so you advize him to add 20lbs of dynamat.

$1500.00 dollars is not a ludicrous amount of money, most the exhaust systems available are in that range = Mugen, J's, Toda and others are more expensive = Amuse, ARC ($3500.00 for the ARC thats ludicrous )

there is nothing to worry about the asm 70mm sound wise, for me, the asm 70mm is perfect if you daily drive your car and dont want a ear bleeding exhaust. If the 70mm is too loud for you, you can always put in the silencer, my 60mm has one and i know the 70mm Ti, so i'd assume the SS would come with it too. Off topic but the way asm made their silencer is very clean, you cant see it from the outside tip/muffler As far as power difference, you could probably assume the 70mm will make more power, just i dunno how much. As i told you in our pms, i went with asm because of the weight, stockish look and the quality asm puts into their parts, hp would be a bonus

yes and adding more weight to your car is always an intelligent thing to do when trying to make your car faster.

if you all haven't realized, THERE AREN"T PRICE POINTS FOR CAR PARTS THAT ARE DEVELOPED BY SHOPS FOR A REASON!!! please get that in your head, honestly, they can sell it for however much they want. They might not make as much money by having it so expensive. If you haven't realized, they don't have high prices to make a lot of money. The way shady companies make money is by selling shitloads of terrible products, and knock offs, with very cheap prices, to people in the US who are used to being able to go out and buy a knock off of anything.

maybe I am wrong . . . maybe

you won't have the same product if you go to some shop and have them build you an exhaust. even you know that.

the question wasn't about how he should spend his money, it was about two products made by ASM, if you can't answer it, then why take the time to respond.

I think most will tell you that the performance increase of the 70mm ASM is probably worth the slight increase in sound over the 60mm. From people posting on the site. The ASM is one of the quietest single 70mm exhausts available.

Thanks for your feedback, and opinion.

I have decided to go with the ASM 70mm SS version.

Thanks all
