Default ASM GT-S Lower Arm Bar

Does someone know if the ASM GT-S Lower arm bar is compatible with a Tanabe Concept-G exhaust?

Acording to Go-Tuning "Most exhausts are compatible but some mufflers may interfere"

http://www.gotuning.com/product_info.php?f...products_id=223

I would like to know it in advance.. (it costs plenty of money and it would be more than dissapointing if later on it does not fit)

If the tanabe is a single you should be fine. If you have an 06 and up usdm s you will have a problem mounting the bar because two of the mount points wont line up. This is the problem I had when I attempted to mount the asm bar. I am unsure of euro s. All years of the jdm s will work with the asm bar because they never changed the tunnel.

I'd sell the exhaust to run this. It probably doesn't do anything but it's nice to look at.

I'd call up Aaron or Tommy and have them measure the clearance to a few fixed points. The mounting holes on the car would probably work best. From there, using a few straight edges, it will be easy to tell. It's a relatively new item so owners will be far and few between.

A dual might also clear because it Ys after the diff. It all comes down the resonators size/shape. Good info about the mounting points.

I got one of the first bars go tuning recieved. It looks amazing. I was very disapointed when it didnt fit but tommy let me return the bar and I got the asm header which helped ease my loss with the bar.

The Concept-G is a dual exhaust.

Ugs I did not know that the MY06+ USDM mounting points were different to the previous models.. (and different to JDM MY06+)

Now, to make things more complex.. i have a EDM MY08

So basically there are two potential problems.. mounting points and exhaust resonator isn't it?

How can I visually check if my tunnel is compatible or not? are there any pics of the two different tunels in the USDM models? maybe then I could compare them to mine..

Or another way round.. what USDM parts are different in both versions (pre MY06 and MY06+)? (I have the European EPC so I could also compare if the parts were changed as well)

Two of the mounting holes are the inner bolts on the rear of the seats. If both of these are level to each other then you should be alright. On my 06 they changed the passenger side floor board. This is one bar that I really wanted. Hope that helps you out. When I get home from work I will try to take some pics of what I am talking about. It sucks to buy something only to find out that it doesnt fit. Same thing happened when I bought the spoon center brace.

I would be really grateful if you could take some pictures. then i could compare them with my car.

I plan to get the bar in person directly from ASM Yokohama (Im going to Japan in april). I hope they have some "in stock" over there... (if not I will ask them to ship it directly home)

But first I must double (triple) check that it would fit.. I plan to get both the front and the rear arm bar.

The front gt lower bar and strut bar will fit without any issue. The ladder bar has to be modifed if you use it with the gt lower bar from what tommy told me from go tuning.

Sorry about the delay. My camera apparenlty doesnt work any more so I had to take the pics with my phone.

If you look to the left and right of the black bar around the driveshaft you will see the two mounting points for the asm gt bar on the inner seat bolts. Each one of them is at a different elevation to each other. This is the problem I had when I tried to mount the bar. The spoon center brace replaces the black bar around the driveshaft. There you will also notice how they are set at different elevations. This was the conflict I had with mounting both of these bars due to the 06+ changes. The bolts also appear to be staggered so they are not directly inline with each other. I hope this helps you out. I am curious if the euro models experienced the same changes has the usdm.
